The former couple - who split in January after only three months of dating - are said to have engaged in a lengthy discussion at the Vanity Fair bash following this year's Academy Awards ceremony.
"They were outside near the restroom having a discussion," a source told People. "It seemed a bit more serious - it certainly wasn't a 'Hi, how are you?' talk."The insider added: "It seemed like they were catching up, sorting something out."Gyllenhaal apparently left the party shortly afterwards, while Swift stayed and partied with two friends.
