Vogue has named Taylor Swift and Katy Perry among choices for USA's most stylish lady. In the magazine's most recent issue, they asked some of America's top designers who they would choose as USA's most stylish lady. They are featuring all nominees in an article they've called "American Idols: Icons of Stateside Style."
Perhaps it comes as no surprise that both Swift and Perry were nominated—each has a clearly different style, no doubt fashionable to the extreme. However, another choice might throw you for a loop: 11-year-old Willow Smith of Whip My Hair fame. Willow is stylish in a unique way, sure, but to refer to her as a lady at the young age of 11? She's still just a girl, a pre-teen at best.
The fact that Taylor Swift was nominated is really a no-brainer. Always exceptionally well-put-together, elegant and graceful, Taylor Swift recently graced the cover of Philadelphia Style magazine looking quite retro-chic. Swift, 21, was nominated by designer Tommy Hilfiger, who chose to nominate both Swift and Perry, 26, because he couldn't decide between them.
Hilfiger said, "With Taylor's energetic charisma and Katy's edgy charm, they look as good in a casual summer dress as they do on the red carpet."Three unique ladies (or, two young ladies and one very young lady), three completely unique styles.
