Taylor Swift has already mentioned that the songs for her follow-up to Speak Now will be sadder in tone. Additionally, in a recent interview The Hollywood Reporter, the singer stated that she already has 25 songs written for the still-untitled album: “I’ve written 25 songs so far, so it’s coming along really well. I’ve been writing a lot, and I like to take 2 years to make a record. We’re at the end of year one and I still have a year left to go to write.”Taking her statement into consideration, the Speak Now follow-up is likely to hit stores by fall 2012.

At the moment, Swift is going through a common celebrity rite of passage: coming out with a fragrance. Her Elizabeth Arden perfume Wonderstruck hit stores this past week, and in addition to its novelty bottle with charms, the fragrance based on a line from song “Enchanted” is a combination of fruit and floral notes.
The Hollywood Reporter also asked about changing her signature style – mainly, her curls. While she appeared with straightened hair at the 2010 American Music Awards, the singer said that change isn’t necessary: “Yes, I have considered that on certain days. I think about either cutting bangs, or cutting it. But I don’t think I’m ever gonna cut it drastically -- at least not in the near future, because my publicist right now is sort of twitching with fear. […] I don’t want to shock people, that’s never been the goal. But it might be nice to change things up every now and then.”
During her Speak Now tour, Swift had artists from the relevant locations come on stage for a duet. While she and Hayley Williams sang together in Nashville, rapper T.I. came on stage in Atlanta. About their on-stage collaboration, Swift told MTV: "I'm a huge hip-hop fan, and it's been so amazing to have so many incredible artists come out and to get to sing the hooks on their songs that I've been blasting in my car for the last couple years. It's been awesome. I couldn't have asked for more amazing special guests on this tour, and we're not finished yet."
