Taylor Swift is a bit up in arms at the moment over a topless photo of her that has appeared on the internet…only it isn’t her. The singer has said that the image, which comes with the tag “Taylor Swift Topless Private Picture Leaked”, posted on Celebrity Jihad is not her, but has demanded that it be removed from the net as it is a trademark infringement upon her.
So it’s not her, but it infringes her copyright of herself? Isn’t that just the same as every gossip column being sued for publishing stories that may not be true but possibly could be? And I’m sure if Taylor were to log on to Google and do an image search for “Taylor Swift topless” then there would be any number of images that actually are her with a bit of Photoshopping. Is she going to sue all of those as well? Perhaps celebrities should just face the fact that if they are going to be famous, then sometimes these things do happen.
