Taylor Swift's got legs - and she knows how to use them. The 21-year-old singer looked stunning tonight as she attended the BMI Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee. She sparkled in a sheer and sequinned black mini-dress which showed off her endlessly long, impossibly gorgeous legs. The Mean singer kept her hair simple at the industry fete, wearing it loose and tucked behind one ear in order to show off her studded earrings.

The country cutie matched her shiny purple peep-toed heels to her dress, which had bursts of lilac, mauve and deeper purple colours. She has become a staple honouree at the BMI's, winning all-genre song of the year once and country song of the year three times in the past.
Tonight's awards ceremony, held by the performing rights organisation, is a preview of what's to come during country music's biggest night tomorrow: the Country Music Association Awards. Swift has finally been given a Song of the Year nomination for her latest track, 'Mean', a musical response to her haters. It has gone to number one on the country and adult contemporary charts.
'Getting a CMA nomination for Mean was definitely a jumping-up-and-down moment for me because this song is really close to my heart,' the singer said in a statement. 'I'm so thrilled it was nominated for song of the year because it's a song that I wrote on a really, really, bad day, but it has produced so many happy days for me since.' Those that work with her agree. The head of her label, Scott Borechetta, said: 'Respectfully, it's about time. I don't think she gets near the props she deserves for her songwriting.' He continued: 'I've been in the business with Taylor for almost seven years now, and her songs were great when I met her at 14.'
