Now that Taylor Swift is on the market after her late 2009 split from Valentine’s Day co-star Taylor Lautner, she has been out on the town with everyone from John Mayer to Glee’s Cory Monteith.

Like the girl she sings about in her smash hit You Belong With Me, the country/pop princess, 20, doesn’t have to look far to find a suitor: Boys Like Girls frontman Martin Johnson, her duet partner on their hit Two is Better Than One.

“Taylor Swift is the perfect human being,” he tells me. “She’s great. She’s such a nice, wholehearted, sweet girl, and she’s the biggest superstar in the world. My mom would be stoked if I brought her home.”To catch Taylor’s attention, guys must be funny. “Definitely somebody who can make me laugh,” she tells me. “Somebody who had a compatible sense of humor with me. That would be the most important thing.

They should also be taller than the 5’11” singer.

“The bad thing about being tall is the majority of people are at a different eye level than you, and so you feel like you’re looking down to talk to people, which is kind of unnatural – looking down to talk to people, and they have to look way up to talk to you,” Taylor tells me.

She continues, “It just depends on what group of people you’re around. If there are a few scattered tall people in the room or in the group of people that you’re talking to, it’s not awkward at all. But if you’re around a bunch of little, mini people and you’re the only giant in the circle, it can be kind of interesting.”

Boys Like Girls guitarist Paul DiGiovanni calls performing with the Grammy winner “amazing.”

“She’s such a nice girl,” he says. “We had known her for a long time, and we’d been friends with her. Our drummer, John, played with her on Fearless, and then she became the biggest star in the universe. It was kind of shoot-for-the-stars to ask her to sing on the record, and we were so delighted that we were fortunate enough to have her on the record.”
