Awww, look at her! Tay-Tay’s so precious. When she smiles, rainbows arc across the sky. When she brushes her hair, wildflowers with the sweetest of scents fall from her curls. When she sings, kittens spontaneously pop into being…and then hurl themselves in front of cars to end the misery because girl can’t hold a note without Autotune.

But despite being a kitten-murderer extraordinaire, Taylor Swift is still super cute. She romped around in a swimsuit so retro it should almost be called a bathing costume or be accompanied by an aerial shot of an elaborately choreographed synchronized swim number. It’s not exactly the most flattering style, but Taylor’s very slender, so even though it’s not doing much for her, it’s not actively fugifying her, either. I like that it feels vintage without being a costume (ahem, Katy Perry); the red sunglasses were the perfect accessory and even the yellow towel contributes to the ’40s feel. It’s nice to see a young woman on the beach in something appropriate for her age and body type (ahem, almost everyone else).
